Video dari ‘dashcam’ bertarikh Isnin, 22 Jun, jam 9 pagi itu menunjukkan kejadian berlaku di Jalan Pudu menuju ke Jalan Hang Tuah di mana terletaknya Ibu Pejabat Kontigen Polis Kuala Lumpur.
Video itu menunjukkan kereta polis memandu di lorong kiri lalu dirempuh dari arah belakang oleh sebuah Volkswagen Polo yang dipandu laju menyebabkan kereta polis berputar sebelum ia merempuh pada pembahagi jalan dan kemudian Polo tersebut hilang melarikan diri dari tempat kejadian.
Suspek dikatakan seorang pelajar kolej berumur 21 tahun telah membuat laporan di balai polis pada hari yang sama,
Jika ingin dibandingkan Volkswagen Polo dengan Perodua Myvi, dari segi saiznya boleh dikatakn lebih kurang sama. Kalau diimbas kembali tragedi Myvi merempuh Pajero seakan-akan lebih kurang sama gaya rempuhan Polo dengan kereta peronda polis tersebut.
Dari rakaman video tersebut seolah-olah pemandu Polo berada dalam kelewatan untuk sampai ke destinasi dan tiada tanda-tanda menunjukkan cubaan untuk perlahan kerana tiada lampu "brake" menyala sebelum merempuhan. Ini mesti kes melihat smart phone sambil memandu.
Student ploughs into police patrol car and speeds away
KUALA LUMPUR: Dashboard camera video footage of a hatchback vehicle ploughing into a police patrol car before speeding off has gone viral on social media.
The video shows the police car driving on the left lane with another car on the right along the two-lane road.
A speeding Volkswagen Polo car was seen overtaking the vehicle with the camera on the left lane, and was unable to stop in time to avoid a collision.
It ploughed straight into the police car, which spun out of control and rammed into the road barrier.
The speeding vehicle then fled from the scene.

Kuala Lumpur traffic police investigation and traffic law officer Deputy Superintendent S. Markandan said the incident occurred at around 8.55am Monday.
"Two policemen were on patrol along Jalan Pudu heading towards the city when the Volkswagen Polo was reported to have lost control and rammed into it.
"The collision caused the police car to spin before it hit the barrier," he said, adding that both policemen in the vehicle suffered minor injuries.
He said the 21-year-old college student who was driving the Volkswagen drove off but lodged a police report later that day.
DSP Markandan said the case was being investigated as driving while under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs.
